Speedo - Dana and Alden
Genre: Jazz, Jazz Fusion, R&B
Since finding Dana and Alden this year, Speedo has beenone of my go to jazz albums whenever I don't know what to play or the suggestions are just scheiße. There is a lot of variety seen across the song list most notably in the LoFi break beat vibes of Wyckoff Deli Chicken Over Rice and the spattered sampling in Cacio e Pepe. Much of it, though, is filled a day dreamy, some what new agey jazz that feels like it came staight out of a movie. The few song that feature lyrics range from the catchy R&B out of Childhood Crush to the outsider-esque Why Do You Even Talk to Me. Speedo, and all of Dana and Alden's discography for that matter, is a great starting point if you wanna get into modern jazz and its variations, especially if you've only listend to Laufey, Sinatra, or the like.

God's Gonna Give You A Million Dollars - Shallowater
Genre: Alternative, Shoegaze, Folk
Been a bit since I actually came across some new shoegaze I like. The mix of folk/country instrumentals is what first drew me into the band, and througout the album, you get this beautiful concotion of sorrowing acustics paired with the whirl of guitar.
